Inspired by the notion of drifting through the land + soundscapes of China, and uses fragments of conversations, lights, + architectural forms to trace the multitudes of paths, identities + influences which make up the rapidly changing urban environments of Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing.

With audio by Seattle-based artist L’usiane, the work explored and traces the hidden data that exists on the internet and the invisible nature of these elements. The hidden spaces emit binary information as a bi-product of the errant code and circuitry, and this flow of date is represented in 2D and 3D imagery, visiting the broken links and forgotten servers of the world wide web.

Edeka is from the D-Tonate DVD, a collaborative project that challenges the conventional music video format and allows the viewer to interact with the films selected. Rough edits of D-Tonate were sent to musicians worldwide who produced soundtracks for the films, which can be randomly accessed using the angle and subpicture button on the DVD remote control.
